F.R.O.D.O. works with disabled and abandoned children in some of the poorest countries in Europe, with a particular focus on Romania. 19,000 kids are still living in state institutions in Romania. 10,000 of these are disabled. There is no one waiting to adopt or foster these children, and there never will be. Their only hope is for charities like F.R.O.D.O. to help improve their lives where they are. Our programme of Institutional Transformation – going into orphanages and training staff, transforming the lives of the kids there – has been one of our most astonishing success stories to date. So much so that the Romanian Government has asked F.R.O.D.O. to be involved in developing a model of best practice to be rolled out across the country and hopefully beyond.
Our response to this huge need is the F.R.O.D.O.Kids Wellbeing Campaign – intended to raise awareness of this work, both politically and within the corporate world. These children are a two hour flight away, they are EU citizens and they are on our doorstep. They need our help.
We can’t do it without your support. Please help the children.
1. Sign up NOW to support the Campaign on the form below. We’ll put your name on our WellBeing Wall.
2. Donate what you can
3. Involve business contact in the UK and Romania, to help build awareness of the issue and encourage support financially
4. Tell your friends about the Campaign – use your Facebook page, set up a VirginGiving page – and get them to sign up.
The more people who sign up to the Campaign – the more we can reassure the children that people care about them.
Thank you.
