Fundraising volunteers
Organising your own event is a great way to fundraise for F.R.O.D.O. We can offer you all the support you would need for your fundraising.
You could set up an online fundraising page at Virgin Money Giving
Why should I volunteer for F.R.O.D.O.?
Volunteering will not only help us with our vital work, but it can also be very rewarding for you. Volunteers benefit from building up valuable work experience and building their CVs as well as making a difference to vulnerable children. There are many reasons why people choose to get involved. Volunteers get to meet new people and learn new skills but most importantly they get to make a difference.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone can volunteer for F.R.O.D.O. We welcome support from everyone.
What skills and experience do I need?
Everyone has something to offer……..
Do I need qualifications?
No, volunteers come from all walks of life. The great thing about volunteer for F.R.O.D.O. is your skills and experience is as important as your qualifications.
What training and support will I be given?
When you register as an official volunteer you will be provided with all the information you need about the volunteering role you have chosen and information about F.R.O.D.O. and our work. You will be supported by Celia Halifax the Fundraising Coordinator.
I have a disability, can I volunteer?
Yes, no one would be turned away as a volunteer because of disability.
This goes for sexuality, race and religion also.
How long will it take to start volunteering?
This depends on several factors. We will need to check your references, call you in for an interview if the volunteering is office based and a CRB check if necessary.
What is a CRB check?
The Criminal Records Bureau offers employers and non-profit organisations access to the records of potential employees and volunteers. The CRB acts as a third party to verify and report on the criminal records of the person in question. Once the search is complete a CRB check is issued for the individual.
I really like the sound of volunteering for F.R.O.D.O. – How do I apply?
