What money can buy
We depend on concerned and interested individuals, companies and grant-giving Trusts for the support to enable us to do our work and transform the lives of disabled children in developing countries.
Below gives an idea of what support can mean:
- £10 * Buys 60 single tickets for a carer and child to get to hospital for regular check ups.
- £25 * Buys life-saving medicine for two months for a toddler suffering from liver disease.
- £100 * Buys three months of supplemental feeds including fortified milk and a nurse to bring a malnourished child out of the danger zone.
- £250 * Buys surgery for a child with hydrocephalus.
- £400 * Can provide corrective surgery for a child unable to eat properly due to a cleft palate.
- £1,150 * Can provide a maternity hospital with a used neo-nathal ventilator that can save the lives of premature babies.
- £2,500 * Can pay for a medical professional to join a team going to Romania for eight days to provide treatment for 70 children with disabilities who would otherwise not have access to such treatment.
- £5,000 * Can bring a child to the UK for an operation unavailable in Romania.
