Vanessa has worked in the charitable sector since 1997, in both operational and Head of Fundraising capacities. Before joining F.R.O.D.O., she was Head of Fundraising at Shaw Trust, a leading disability charity. She was previously Operations Manager at The Child Bereavement Trust (CBT – now the Child Bereavement Charity), joining the Trust in its early years and played a key role in CBT growing into the successful and influential charity it is today.
Before entering the charitable sector, Vanessa spent 17 years at 10 Downing Street, working for four Prime Ministers in a senior secretarial role. She then moved into the commercial sector and had a senior marketing and communications role in a major car retailing organisation.
