in developing countries who suffer from disability or life threatening illness.”
Uniquely, F.R.O.D.O. focuses on helping disabled children, currently living
in difficult circumstances, often with poor care and little love.
Working with partners, we identify those whose lives would be transformed if they receive treatment for their disability. Often in developing countries, children suffer from disabilities which are regularly treatable in the West.
We also aim to bring about institutional transformation by working with the local medical professionals and care-givers to deliver improved standards in care to the children.

Volunteers Needed
FRODO is now recruiting medical volunteers for 2010 Treatment & Training missions. If you’re from a medical background, work primarily with children and can commit to a one week mission to Eastern Europe then we would be keen to hear from you. Please contact Rick for more information
F.R.O.D.O Kids
Marina
Marina was extremely ill when we found her in the hospital bed where she spent the first 2 years of her life… After many medical test we discovered she had PKU- a disease that disrupts the correct digestion of protein. Since then we have provide medicine, physio and psychological therapy and her progress is just amazing!

A team from the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington has returned from another Treatment and Training mission to the Mures, Romania. Around 20 children were given thorough clinical assessments. 2 children from placement centres received surgery while others were given physiotherapy programmes or orthotics.
